The Insert has a beautiful reeded design throughout and stunningly cast decorative. British architect Thomas Jeckyll (1827-81), who excelled in the design of Anglo-Japanese metalwork and furniture. Was among the first to experiment with three of the major design idioms of the 1860s,'70s, and'80s, namely, Anglo- Japanese, Queen Anne and Old English. One of the leading architects of the Aesthetic Movement from which this design was created with Anglo-Japanese inspiration.
