ANTIQUE CAST IRON FIREPLACE / FIRE SURROUND / INSERT / VICTORIAN. Made around the turn of the century, for sale is this interesting and unique restored antique cast iron fireplace insert in a Victorian style.

It has been fully stripped cleaned, heatproof treated and polished to bring out its original character. The beautiful detail and quality can be seen in the pictures. The fireplace is made of solid, heavyweight cast iron in very good condition. During restoration we retained the ornamentation, grate, and flue damper, as well as the original slide in bars with made to measure ash pan cover.

Fits neatly over an existing fireplace opening and will fit into most standard mantle surrounds or stand proud as it is. This fireplace is perfect for someone who needs a shallow fire insert. The item has been professionally refurbished by Duncan Reddy Manchester and is finished in traditional black grate polish which gives it a gunmetal appearance and highlights the ornamentation.
