Gorgeous fully restored and well proportioned antique cast iron fire surround reclaimed from a period property. Would look beautiful over an open fireplace, existing fire or opening. It has been professionally stripped, repaired and given a protective coating and burnished to bring out its original Victorian period character. Has mounting lugs on the shoulders for easy and safe installation.

A couple of strong screws will secure it to the wall. The surround is made of solid cast iron in excellent condition. It has aged beautifully with lots of texture in the patina. Looks stunning and will make a statement piece in any room.

We removed this fire surround from a period family residence in Manchester. It is typical of the mid-late 19th century with its decorative arch, scrollwork and original mantle. It carries an authentic 1873 foundry mark on the reverse. We sell online only to keep costs to the customer as low as possible and love giving and receiving!
