Antique Cast Iron Victorian Fire Surround / Fireplace Insert / Arched

ANTIQUE CAST IRON VICTORIAN FIRE SURROUND / FIREPLACE INSERT / ARCHED. It is a wonderful, authentic architectural piece, with delicate pattern work and classic early Victorian looks. Fully refurbished by Duncan Reddy Manchester a Specialist in Architectural salvage for over 35 years. This restored antique arched cast iron fire insert. It was reclaimed from a period property pre 1860s. Classy and elegant in its simple design, it is a classic design and would look beautiful over an open fireplace, existing fire, or other opening. It has been, cleaned and polished to show off its original character. Looks stunning and will really transform an existing fireplace opening.

Height to outer edge of the arch design: 86cm. Width to outer edge of the arch design: 80cm. Opening height (floor to lower lip of hood) 64cm.

Opening width (inside edges of mouth) 40cm. The inner arch finishes around 10cm further back than the rest of the surround so this surround is best placed over an existing opening rather than against a flat wall. The opening in the chimney breast needs to be at least 76cm wide x 84cm high to accommodate this fireplace insert.
