For sale is this gorgeous fully restored and nicely proportioned antique Victorian cast iron fireplace from a 19th century period property in Lancashire.

It has been professionally stripped, cleaned, heatproof coated and polished to bring out its original character. About this fireplace: This is an authentic, fully restored, fully functioning antique fireplace from the late Victorian period. It carries original diamond foundry marks. The detail and quality in the ironwork, both inside and outside, can be seen in the pictures of this fireplace. A stunning sunburst across the frieze is complemented by a lovely detail-lined arch.

The decorative bars and damper plate add character and would make it a great choice for a bedroom or living room. It retains many original features including damper, fire stone, mantle and grate. We have added a matching antique ash pan cover and bars during restoration. The whole thing looks beautiful and will add character to any home.

It fits neatly over an existing fireplace opening and has mounting lugs for simple and safe installation. A couple of strong screws will secure it to the wall. As with all of our restorations it will bear very well concealed signs of the restoration work, but this just adds to the character in our view.
