Victorian Vintage Whitfield & Co Safe. Very heavy solid cast iron safe. It locks fine as long as the key is lined up into the lock due to its age and wear and tear.

Measurements are approximate: 62cm High, 48cm wide and 46cm depth. Has been in the family for over 50 years securing the takings from a local family strawberry business. Bought locally 2nd hand from a pub where it was used for many many years. We have recently moved the safe to another room. We have managed to get the safe unlocked but it was a struggle.

It obviously didnt like being moved so the lock may of dropped out of line. Update: we have had the lock professionally refurbished. It needed a couple of springs.

The safe locks and unlocks easily now. I have added that its antique as I have been advised it was made in the early 1920s.
