Cast iron fire back plate. 70cm wide by 65cm ht Reproduction Cast Iron fire back. We bought this from a fireplace shop in around 2000, but while it has the date 1626 on it, we think it is a Victorian reproduction. It is extremely heavy, and requires two people to lift it. The photos show the dimensions.

Due to its weight, it retains and radiates heat wonderfully, and we are only disposing of it as we have replaced our open fire with a wood burning stove.
