Gorgeous quality restored cast iron fireplace insert. It has been stripped, cleaned, heatproof treated and fully polished to bring out its original character.

This is beautiful condition fireplace insert in a decorative Georgian arch style, distinguishable by its use of elaborate ironwork around a wide horseshoe arch and large basket. The beautiful quality can be seen in the pictures both inside and outside of the fire.

Please note, however, that we are not gas fitters or traders so the gas fire will need to be checked and installed by a qualified person. For the photos we added a solid fuel grate for decorative purposes. You are welcome to have this for decorative use rather than the gas fore if you prefer. The fireplace is made of solid, very heavyweight, cast iron and is ready to install into an open chimney breast.

To accommodate this fireplace your chimney breast opening needs to be a minimum of 95cm wide x 93cm high x 35cm deep. Our fireplaces and surrounds are restored and finished using traditional methods and materials. A restored fireplace will bear well concealed signs of the restoration work and will have natural imperfections due to the nature of antique cast iron. This simply adds to the character of the piece in our view. Payments should be made within three days of sale. We will securely courier the item to most parts of the U.

But please check with us if you live in a remote location such as the Scottish Highlands or Channel Islands. For deliveries, we ensure all of our restored fireplaces are protective wrapped and delivered by our trusted courier, who takes great care with each item. The drivers will carry your fireplace into your home and place it in a location of your choice.

If you are local to us, your item can be collected in person from our home workshop in Wilmslow, Cheshire (SK9 postcode). We will assist you where possible in loading.

If you are installing a heating appliance in your home, it is your responsibility to ensure that you or your builder follows building regulations and, where applicable, complies with HETAS and GAS SAFE regulations in the UK. Cast Iron Fireplace Restorations Ltd cannot accept responsibility for the performance or suitability of an individual fireplace, which should be assessed prior to installation by a suitably qualified installer. If your fireplace is purely for decorative purposes, the HETAS and GAS SAFE regulations do not apply.
