Large cast iron fireplace mantel surround, ideal for a stove or woodburner.. This antique fire surround has been professionally refurbished by Duncan Reddy Manchester a specialist in architectural salvage for over 30 years. A beautiful and elegant period piece, this fire surround has been professionally stripped, cleaned, protective coated and polished to bring out its original character.

Made of solid, heavyweight cast iron, it is in excellent condition for its age with a beautiful patina. It retains its original substantial mantle shelf. The fire has been finished in the traditional black grate polish, which gives it a gunmetal look and enhances the ornamentation of the cast iron. It would make a great accomplishment to a wood burner/ stove. Shelf 50" x 7.5".

Opening 32.5" high x 29" wide. I can arrange a courier to deliver. I'm also happy to help with loading if you're collecting in person.
