Gorgeous fully restored original Victorian antique cast iron fire surround reclaimed from a large country property. Generous in size, it would look beautiful over an open fireplace, existing fire or opening. Authentic, date stamped 1874 and made at the famous Falkirk foundry. The Falkirk foundry was a renown maker of top quality cast iron items.

More about the company here. It has been professionally stripped, cleaned, given a protective coating and polished to bring out its original Victorian period character.

The surround is made of solid cast iron in fully restored condition. It has aged beautifully with lots of texture in the patina. Fits neatly over an existing fireplace opening and had handy mounting holes.

Looks stunning and will make a statement piece in any room. As with all of our restorations this fireplace will have the odd well concealed mark from our restoration work, which just adds to the character in our view. 81cm wide at legs, widening to 101cm at back plate. Inner void is 72cm high to the underside of the arch at its high point.

Inner void is 45cm wide. Rear projection of the arch into the chimney opening is 3cm. The hole in your chimney breast needs to be at least 75cm wide x 80cm high to accommodate this fire surround.
