Large Antique Victorian / Art Nouveau Cast Iron Fireplace / Fire Surround
It is a lovely example of art nouveau architecture and would typically have taken pride of place in a downstairs room or bedroom. Generously proportioned, it is made of solid, heavyweight cast iron in lovely condition with original foundry marks on the reverse. The ironwork is rich with floral detail across the frieze and on the body. The stunning love-heart shaped flower heads give it a feminine quality and the contoured bars complements the look. Fits nicely over an existing fireplace opening or against a flat wall and comes with its original mantle and bars.
The final result of the restoration looks lovely and will make a characterful addition to your home.
