Large Antique Victorian Cast Iron Book Press with Brass Fittings

For sale is my lovely Antique Victorian Cast Iron Book Press with Brass Fittings. This large and very heavy book press is in fully working order but it's showing great character and age related paint chips and scuffs typical for its age. There is some rust visible in places and paintwork has seen better days, but we liked this look rather than shiny and new looking. The new owner has a choice to refurbish it and repaint/ polish it up or leave it in its current aged and vintage look.

The screw thread is in great order and works brilliantly, press plates could perhaps do with some felt pads perhaps? 15" 38cm x 9 3/4" 25cm. Extremely heavy item so not able to post collection only!
