An Antique Victorian Barton cast iron civil park bench from the council parish of Perranporth in Cornwall. This substantial Victorian bench used to adorn the seafront in the popular coastal town of Perranporth in Cornwall. Now restored with new well proportioned slats and wax sealed cast iron ends made by Barton carrying many layers of patina from countless decades of overpainting. The bench has superb proportions making it great to look at and even better to sit on. The timber is treated and stained with a protective layer. New hardware throughout and the Barton ends are very substantial and in great structural conduction. It measures around 1.8m long. Will confirm further dimensions very shortly.
