For sale is this attractive, large and fully restored cast iron fire surround from the early 1900s. Fully functioning and beautifully finished, It is a tall and elegant piece. It is perfect to go over an existing chimney breast opening or against a flat wall. The fire surround has been professionally stripped, cleaned, protective coated and polished to give it an attractive finished look. Made of solid, heavyweight cast iron, it would suit installation over a cast iron fireplace insert, a stove or wood burner.

It will add a touch of class and quality to a room. As with all of our restorations, it will bear the odd very well concealed mark from the restoration work, but this is extremely well done and simply adds to the character of the item in our view. It has mounting holes beneath the shelf for discreet and safe installation. A couple of strong screws will secure it to the wall. 143.5cm high (bottom to top of mantle). Rear projection is 0cm, making this a great choice for fitting either against a flat wall or over an existing opening. The drivers will carry your fireplace into your home and place it in a location of your choice. If you are local to us, your item can be collected in person from our home workshop in Wilmslow, Cheshire (SK9 postcode).

We will assist you where possible in loading. If you are installing a heating appliance in your home, it is your responsibility to ensure that you or your builder follows building regulations and, where applicable, complies with HETAS and GAS SAFE regulations in the UK.
