Known as The Prince it has been professionally stripped, cleaned, protective coated and polished to bring out its original character. Authentic, made of solid, heavyweight cast iron in lovely condition with its original foundry marks on the reverse.

This is a real gem. The cast iron has a beautiful patina and the ironwork is packed with detail across the frieze and legs The interior is just as attractive, boasting proud lettering above the fire stone, matching bars and a sunburst damper plate that we added during restoration. Fits generously over an existing fireplace opening and is a beautiful piece of architectural heritage. At some point the aqua blue tiles were added.

It has discreet mounting lug holes beneath the shelf for easy and safe installation. A couple of decent wall screws will secure this surround in place against your chimney breast.

As with all of our items, it may bear very well concealed signs of the restoration work, but this just adds to the character of the piece in our view. 107cm high (bottom to top of mantle).
