For sale is this outstanding, large, fully restored antique cast iron fire surround from the late Victorian / early Edwardian period. Beautifully restored, it is a striking yet simple surround. It is generously proportioned with ironwork patterning around body, finishing in a stunning raised centrepiece. It retains its original, substantial mantle shelf.
With no rear projection and a slight rebate to accommodate an insert if required, it is perfect to go over an existing chimney breast opening or against a flat wall. A classic antique period piece, this surround has been professionally stripped, cleaned, protective coated and polished to bring out its original character. Made of solid, heavyweight cast iron, the whole thing is in excellent condition for its age with a beautiful patina. As with most period fireplaces of this type, the simplicity of design and quality of the ironwork is what makes it so attractive. It will bring unique charm and character to your property.
It has been fully stripped, polished and coated for protection. There are discreet mounting lugs on the outer body for simple and safe installation. 133cm high (bottom to top of mantle). 14.5cm depth at mantle.

For deliveries, we ensure all of our restored fireplaces are protective wrapped and delivered by our trusted courier, who takes great care with each item. The drivers will carry your fireplace into your home and place it in a location of your choice. If you are local to us, your item can be collected in person from our home workshop in Wilmslow, Cheshire (SK9 postcode). We will assist you where possible in loading.
