For sale is this gorgeous, restored cast iron fire basket. It carries a superb lion cast on the fireback.

This cast iron fire basket has a new and unused cast iron grate to burn solid fuel. During restoration it has been fully heatproof treated and polished to bring out its original character. We have repaired the body at the rear corners to restore its rigidity. The final result is a fully functional basket, ready for use. It is made of solid, heavyweight, cast iron in excellent condition.

This fire basket will add warmth and character to your home. Fits neatly into an existing fireplace opening. Height to top of basket section 25cm.

Depth front to back 30cm. Width to outside edges 41cm. Solid fuel grate 37cm x 22.5cm. We are a small family business specialising in restoring antique cast iron fireplaces and surrounds.

For deliveries, we ensure all of our restored fireplaces are protective wrapped and delivered by our trusted courier, who takes great care with each item. The drivers will carry your fireplace into your home and place it in a location of your choice. If you are local to us, your item can be collected in person from our home workshop in Wilmslow, Cheshire (SK9 postcode). We will assist you where possible in loading.
