This is an original Early Victorian cast iron fireplace. It was cast by Carron and is dated 1840, this particular design was cast from the Regency period to the early Victorian period.
It is cast in the traditional Georgian heavily embossed foliate style. The fireplace has been stripped of its paint back to the cast and finished in a traditional blacking paste which provides a pewter / gun metal finish.
Internal opening 635 mm wide x 740 mm high. This item is advertised as a collect in person pick-up item.
