Original Victorian Cast Iron Fireplace. Removed as we are having a log burner put in.
Has been a fully functioning fireplace that we have been using up till now to burn wood. Condition : There are marks and blemishes as you would expect of something of this age - but as you see from the photos its in really nice condition. Fire cement was used to fill a couple of areas where the fire itself is lit. There is a bit of damage to the bottom left hand tile - but someone has had it repaired and seems solid.
The only part that is missing is the small fret cover that sits on the floor to hide the ash pan. Its totally functional without it - and we'll send the one we've been using - but its not the correct one. (also drawn onto some of the photos). 91.5cm - the width of the actual fireplace once removed. 96.5cm - the height of the actual fireplace once removed. PLEASE NOTE: This is the fireplace only, not the big mantelpiece surround that is shown in one of the photos. I've included that photo so you could see the original installation. If you are interested in the surround I do have that too... Just leave me a message. This is a collection only item - and will need two people and most likely a van to collect as it weighs a ton!!!!
