Large Cast Iron Victorian Door Knocker. Description: Very large original quality antique cast iron door knocker. Two serpents heads meet to form the handle and the backplate is decorated with stylised foliage scrollwork. There are 2 screw holes on the backplate with which to attach the door knocker to the door. Cast iron surface has been left untouched, this can then be painted in black or lacquered in order to prevent rusting.

The pin where the handle attaches to the backplate has a little bit of oscillation to it, but it is very solid still and original to the door knocker. Please take at look at the other refurbished door hardware that we have currently listed, along with taps and antique accessories for the home.
