Victorian Cast Iron and Copper Street Lamp Post. This was probably originally a Gas Light, as the centre of the Cast Iron Column is hollow, the copper top has perspex panels, these are cloudy and could be replaced with either new perspex or Glass as preferred and it sits easily and securely on the cast iron post.
The post has been carefully dug out of the ground so that the bottom section can be reset in concrete below ground, the copper top has been modified for Electricity, and requires rewiring. The Lamp has a single (one sided) horizontal post so it was probably set in a street corner position. The overall length of the post is 11ft (about 18 go into the ground).
Including the Horizontal bar it is 24 wide, the copper top is 45 tall, and 18 square. We only operate an online store and regrettably viewing in person is not an option. Normally we are unable to offer collection. The item "Victorian Cast Iron and Copper Street Lamp Post" is in sale since Monday, September 23, 2019.
