Was white (enamelled) but was painted black in the 80's but as you can see this paint is coming off now so need to be cleaned or repainted. Victorian bed and homemade base (the base was made from the original sprung base) it has the knuckle joint that makes this bed such a stable one. Sad to see this go as it's been in the family for about 50 years.
