Vintage Antique Cast Iron Garden Bench Ends & Seat Victorian c. Bench End Size - 82cm high at back - arms are 62cm off the ground and metal end widths are 55cm - it is fitted with 4 x 90cm wide high quality thick oak planks. Superb condition victorian cast iron bench end - very very heavy each cast iron end weighs approx 18kg - these bench ends were made up into an Oak 2-seater bench by my late father about 10 years ago - after a bit of wear to the timber ends I cut it down to a large 90cm wide seat and fitted it with new threaded bolts - the lugs that the bolts fit into are perfect with no breaks - this is a high quality, great condition pair of ends with no damage to the lugs fitted with thick oak plank slats. My late father, who was a keen salvager, always said these ends were Coalbrookdale but I have no evidence to verify this other than they are great quality and very heavy - overall the bench when currently lifted weighs approx 6 Stone (40KG).
